Whether it's a small or large project, all projects are carefully managed by our Project Managers who are Ohio Certified Landscape Technicians. Initial meeting and property visit:

Discuss the scope of your project. Talk about your overall objectives. Discuss preliminary budget and phasing requirements.
Client review of our portfolio of projects.

Establish design fees and projected budget:

Provide design proposal.
Client given our landscape design questionnaire which will help us define your likes, dislikes, favorite colors, style, etc.
Client provides us with a plot plan/survey of property if available.

Rough draft:

Measurements taken to lay out house foundation, structures, patios, fences, driveways, location of existing plants and trees, sunlight orientation, etc., and to locate the house on the lot (approx.) if needed.

Conceptual design:

Client input – the more feedback and information you can provide us with, the better we can prepare a design that will ensure your vision becomes a reality.
Photograph design areas (if needed).
On-site visits, site assessment, initial sketches, notes, and ideas.
Concept research as needed.

Final design & master plan:

Draft a landscape design tailored to client's specifications showing scale, compass points, and all plants and structures labeled appropriately.
Client review with final design presentation (pictures, samples, questions, etc.).
Provide a proposal for implementation of the final design.
Make any revisions as needed.

Implementation & project management:

Even the best landscape design is only as good as the materials used, and the experience of the people building it. We choose the materials and plantings for our installations very carefully.

Questions

Choosing plants is about more than color and appearance. We look at things like sunlight, soil conditions, drainage, available space and how large the plants will become as they mature. The goal is to choose plants that work well together, fit the conditions of your property and continue to look good as the landscape grows.

Absolutely. Not everything has to be removed and replaced when redesigning a landscape. We look at your existing trees, shrubs, plantings and other landscape features to determine what is healthy, what works with the new design and what may need to be changed. Keeping the right existing elements can also help a new landscape feel more established from the beginning.

Plants can change quite a bit as they grow. A landscape that looks properly spaced today can become crowded in a few years if mature plant size isn't considered during the design process. We plan with the future in mind, considering how trees, shrubs and other plants will grow so the landscape can develop naturally without becoming overcrowded.
